Privacy

Short version: Arithmetic Steps has no accounts, ads, trackers, or child profiles. Routes are stored only on the device unless you choose to export them.

What is stored

When a route is completed, the numbers, reasoning steps, and completion date are stored in your browser’s IndexedDB. An unfinished route is also stored so it can survive a refresh. We do not ask for or store names, ages, schools, email addresses, or other identifiers.

Where it goes

Route data does not leave the browser. Export creates a JSON file only when you press “Export JSON.” Import reads the file you choose and writes its valid routes into this browser.

Network and analytics

The installed app caches its own files for offline use. This version contains no analytics, advertising, third-party scripts, hosted fonts, or behavioral tracking. A hosting provider may keep standard short-lived request logs for security and reliability.

Your controls

Use Saved routes to export or clear all route data. You can also remove the site’s local data through your browser settings. Clearing browser storage removes the routes and offline files from that browser.

Children and contact

The product is designed to be used with a parent or teacher and deliberately avoids child identifiers. Questions about this policy can be opened in the project’s public source repository.
